A feast for the eyes from Olympia park, Munich

That is how I would describe this mesmerizing sunset over Olympia Park, Munich.

After a long city walk that took us through most of Munich's central neighborhoods, my boyfriend and I ended up hiking up this tiny hill in Olympia Park, only to be greeted with this fantastic specimen.

It was a Friday evening, the first few hours of a long-awaited holiday, and I just fell like the sky was sending us a little sign telling us only good things will come ahead.

A sense of inner peace was instantly taking over my mind, which is a rare, if not very rare, state for me.

It was also one of the first impressive sunsets I witnessed over the city and took place about 10 months after I moved here. I was used to a lot more of those fantastic explosions of colors in my previous cities, so it marked for me the beginning of me finally feeling at home here.
