Picture taken in Malendure, Guadeloupe. Picture-perfect, could be straight off a Turner painting. A sense of infinity exudes from it, and an infinite inner peaceful feeling.

Six years ago I had the luck of traveling to the Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Dominica. The entire trip was defined by landscapes that dreams are made of, between luxurious forests, turquoise waters, rich waterfalls, and, of course, mesmerising sunsets.
My family and I were staying onboard a little sailing boat and living following the rhythm of the sea. Waking up with the sun, going to bed at dusk, getting used to the movements of the waves, and the less lucky of us, to motion sickness. It also meant being in the middle of the ocean distraction-free, with no internet. Nothing to see except shiny water, a horizon where the line between sky and sea blurred together.
At first, I thought that this would be very complicated. Sharing a limited amount of space, being more or less 24 hours a day part of a group, with no me-time. A hosepipe to shower, a manual-flush toilet, and a teeny cabin meaning my sister were sleeping bum to bum, or as it turned out one morning, bum to face.
But actually, it went very well. We established a sort of harmonious atmosphere and a very natural way of functioning together. And the epitome of this harmony was the peacefulness and beauty of the moment when this sunset pic was taken. Naturally with a glass of 'punch' in the end, on a beach where crabs were wandering (it did not even terrify me, that is how relaxed I was). Here is to more moments like that!
A few other pictures, that you can just watch to relax.
